Im not really sure I'd consider the old school hydraulic steering on the Frontier to be an advantage. Electric power steering has been around for quite a while and I've never really heard of many issues with it.
I test drove several Frontiers before I ended up getting a 2025 Ranger. I really liked the N/A V6 engine, but didn't love the steering feel and felt like the wider turning radius defeated half the purpose of downsizing to a midsize truck.

Good and bad.
The one in the frontier is strong enough to shove the entire truck over if bound against something. The tie rods are large..so they don't give either.
The bad... The top seal really really doesn't like when you do that.
I've ended up doing it on every single Nissan 4x4. Same situation every time, 35s are bound against something, I turn the wheel to shift the truck over about eight inches, and I deal with the drips for 100k or so until it annoys me.
Edit: turning radius. Modify your steering stops slightly and you can shave about 8 ft off the turning radius. No idea why Nissan made them that way on the frontier but not the Xterra.

Wrong! I've been getting 21 in mine consistently. The rough country with a 6" lift was getting 13.

I'm a big fan of the Ridgeline...comfortable, reasonably quiet, decent fuel economy, best cab room of all the mid size trucks, fold up rear seats and flat floor, well equipped for the money, good AWD system, two way tailgate and in bed trunk is great.
No other midsize will handle 4x8 materials flat in the bed.
Only downsides are the lack of ground clearance, no low range, no full size spare, no factory brake controller and 5K towing limits.
If you use a truck like most people it is a wonderful platform.
If you do rock crawling or tow more than 5K, then I'd definitely look at a Frontier.

The Ranger will, I’m not sure about other models.
Otherwise I agree that a Ridgeline is better for most people, but trucks are frequently more about people imagining what they might do with their trucks more than what they actually do with them.

Went from a 2500 Silverado to a 2023 Ridgelune BE. The AWD system is pretty badass. I pull my 170 pro tracker bass boat with it. Never spun a tire pulling it out of my lake. It does everything I need it to do now that I don’t have to haul SxS and tractors any longer.

Frontier bed is built around it. It has slotting above the fenders to carry full sheet goods. The bed utilitrack system is awesome.
I've owned 3 of them over the years, fantastic truck.
