Am I the only person who just doesn't care for the Shield?

I have the M&P Shield Compact. It’s my least favorite handgun.

I always tell people the Shield is a great first gun. It's good at everything, but isn't great at anything.

It's a great CC gun, but I don't personally care for it. I like the G43 better.

I thought I wouldn't like the Glock 43 until I tried one out. I agree with you. It's better than the Shield imo.

It naturally draws well for everyone I know. As soon as you pull it up, it's aiming perfectly. That's why it's such a good CC gun

I don't care for the Ruger LCP 380 but they have people that buy them everyday. And on sale for $169.... maybe it stays in the console.

gunbuyer.com has the Ruger EC9S for $229 free shipping. It's just slightly larger than the LCP and has to have a better trigger than the LCP

I'm a Glock fanboy and I chose the Shield over the 43

I was dead set on a shield when I got my CCP. All the reviews were stellar and the price was so much better than the G43. After I held each I decided on the G43. I think they are both great guns. I just like the Glock feel the 43 has.

A smaller version of the full-sized model. Google search M&P 9 Compact and you can read all about it.

I believe you are confusing the M&P 9 Shield and the M&P 9 Compact. They are two different guns.

I could be. The box says M&P 9 Shield NTS, Night S. SKU 10086. 3.125” barrel.

Either way, I don’t hate it but I have others that I prefer.

Shield was my first semi auto handgun. 1400-1500 rounds now and it has never missed a beat. It’s the Savage Axis of handguns.

My dad has a Performance Center Shield that has had some problems. Frankly, I don't see the CC benefit of his over my regular one. Mine has probably 2k rounds through it, and hasn't had a single problem
