Thats exactly what I was thinking. My theory is that Kye stopped by Detrell either late the night before or early that morning to buy whatever his drug of choice was. He may have been pulling his boat or something and Detrell persuaded him into taking him fishing with him and then pulled this shite. It just doesn't seem to me like these two were regular fishing buddies.
Whatever the case, they sure arrested Detrell fast as shite. He must have left a shite pile of evidence behind for them to snag him so quickly.

think a little Iberville Parish justice was handed to him. I also think this was something personal to the sheriff there
Stassi has turned out to be a better Sherrif than expected, hats off to him for he and his officers work lately.

Stassi is doing a fine job. Just what IP needed.
And you're right. We more than likely know each other or at the very least have mutual friends

That's not very surprising considering the dude looks dumb as shite.

Why not let the surviving family decide which one of Detrell's family members dies while he watches in the same manner he killed his victim.

I know of somone who came from a good family and really wesn't that bad of a person, but ended up getting hooked on pills. Got shot in what looked like a drug deal in a bad NOLA neighborhood. Very shocking for a middle class suburban family

I called it on page 2 or 3. Very sad deal. Like what others have said-nothing good associated with drugs.

Damn shame, one life is over and another ruined if it wasn't already.
That's what I've been trying to teach my son.

Another good reason for it to be legalized.
Also, this is why I deal with hippies.

Absolutely. We learned nothing from prohibition, evidently. The illegal nature of drugs creates more of a public safety hazard than the legal trade would.

You dont honestly believe the American public to have a sound, logical opinion on this do you? There will always be the ignorant types that believe weed is the devil.

People believe whatever is fed to them. There's enough information out there to show that the war on drugs is a far greater social ill than allowing people to put into their own body whatever they choose.
So no, I have no faith in the average citizen to be able to grasp this concept.
