Big frickin' deal. Somebody else ought to be able to handle LDWF job. Her former boss is Director of Homeland Security.

Another good ole boy appointment for Landry, and such a disappointment
I've heard of nothing not operating correctly in LDWF. So whats the problem? If there is a suitable replacement, they'll be in line. Sometimes, someone steps in and takes views of personnel, workload, etc, and gives recommendations before moving on. A complete outsider approach.
You act like the division is in shambles. It's not! Now there can be focus on a new leader.
When Jeff took over, the leader was taking bribes and was fired. I consider it a fire that needed quick outside action to clear out the remains

I’d wager not one person at LDWF ever worked on a pogie boat

I’m baffled why this talking point always gets brought up by the anti CCA folks. It’s not really their issue at all. CCA may have its issues but fighting the state on navigable water laws isn’t one of them.

Day-to-day operations might be fine, but our state regulations and policies are politically influenced, which is why this position is appointed and not elected.
Same goes for the LDWF Board of Commissioners who are appointed by the governor. Mind you, the Commission is charged with the control and supervision of the wildlife of the state, including all aquatic life. The Commission operates as a policy-making and budgetary control board, with no administrative function.

Jeff Landry is a complete and total arse hat. To appoint that goon (Madison) who had zero experience in wildlife and zero ties to the state was baffling. It should shock no one that she is taking the first Federal position offered to her. Landry was clearly returning a favor to someone and gave zero shites about LDWF or the state when he made the appointment. Can't wait to see who that jackarse appoints next.
You need some midol, baw?
And I’m ignorant, but did she negatively impact the agency? I haven’t heard anything if she has.

Fisherman can go anywhere they can float a boat?

She looks like a trans guy anyways. Was a funny looking person to have leading our LDWF.

Heck yea, no more weird looking leaders! Doesn’t matter if they’re crooked, as long as they don’t look weird.
Seriously though, she’s smarter than most of the people posting here. We’ll be lucky to get a decent replacement.

I’ll admit I was skeptical of her at first but she’s done a decent job holding things together. Saw her speak a few times and she was very knowledgeable on the department and the state.

Someone needs to post the gif of Buzz's girlfriend. Woof!

never understood the extra grace men (and women) give to a pretty female when in the role of politics. I think I prefer a homely looking woman in charge of policy because then I know she at least might've gotten there on merit.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm obviously going to go suck a mountain of wieners.

Clark is still there to actually run the dept. A new Secretary is needed to handle the politics. Hopefully something will happen to pogy boat mess.
