You should definitely come buy a Ruger American from me. I have them in 9 and 45. And then I'll pay your range fee up the street at Precision if you let me shoot it. , but seriously.

The urge to take one out of the display case and try it out has been killing me.

Deciding between a Springfield 45 xd or a glock 41. Recommendations? Maybe a better gun? Looking to spend 500-600

I have the g41, nice gun but better if you have large mitts. It's the only 45 glock I own.

I'll throw out an odd-ball - CZ 75B SA 9mm

Pros: same action as a 1911, weighs more than a 1911 when loaded, double the capacity, better ergonomics, no grip safety

Cons: hard to find, stock trigger is not as nice as a 1911, only 2 gunsmiths specialize in working on CZ's- Cajun Gun Works in Monroe LA and CZ Custom Shop in Arizona

Check out the Beretta PX4. Very happy with mine. If your range was a little higher I'd say Sig P226.

I heard that a similar urge is often too hard to resist over at a certain gun shop in prairieville

The Glock 41 is going to bust your budget a little more than likely. It's $635 at most places.

Thanks, man.

About to one of those little 30-shot PMRs, wanted to stock up on some ammo.

All right dude, you just cost me $500.

I've had the PMR on my "toys I'd like to buy" list for 2-3 years. I hadn't realized that they were now readily available at "semi-outrageous" prices (down from the previous "feloniously outrageous" prices).

If my wife finds out I ordered one, I'm gonna blame you.

Is it for concealed carry cause I just scooped up the M&P for 389 plus tax and love it. Smooth action and pretty accurate

I just got A FNH FNS9 for $550 with trijicon night sights.

Great gun, if you're a glock fan you will like this gun

To the OP, are you dead set on a polymer 45 ACP?

Because I second...

... this gun. It has easily become one of my favorite polymer striker fired handguns right behind my beloved M&P Core. It has also become a fan favorite in my classes. Extremely underrated handgun for the price.

I will say that the aggressive grip texture didn't appeal to me and I put on some rubber talon grips to make it a lot more shootable without messing up my hands. But some people like the aggressive grip so it's just personal preference.
