Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Kayak Repair

Recently obtained a hole in the hull of my kayak during a Buffalo river excursion. What's the best way to repair and is it worth it? Typically only kayak on the Ouachita River or Black Bayou, but occasionally venture out to grand isle and the buffalo. Will the repair uphold?
No pics.

Didn’t lurk too long or you would’ve realized there was an outdoor board.

Get a blowtorch and a 5 gallon bucket. Cut a patch from the bucket and weld it into the hole with the blowtorch

If you post this to the outdoor board, they really will help you out. Lots of yakkers over there who know almost everything about it.
Now if you’re looking for travel ball, chicks, and cultcha, you came to the right place.

Pics of your lady in said kayak would help with repair estimates.

You'll learn quickly (if you haven't already from lurking) that the average OT'er doesn't have this sort of problem with his yacht.

You know you can look at this sight without being a member, right?

Is it a roto-molded boat? If so, contact the manufacturer. They will most likely send you a replacement kit with material strips the same color as your boat.
Buy a replacement tool from Hobie, and some fine grain sandpaper. Melt the strips over the hole (from the inside of the boat if possible), then use the sandpaper to smooth out the repair area, on both the inside and outside of the hull.
If done correctly, you won’t even be able to see the patch when you’re done.

Woven fiberglass patch.
But depends on size of hole.

Is it a hole or a boat? How big? You may be SOL if its big.
But as said, the first thing is to contact the manufacturer and see if they will sell you a repair kit. Its usually some strips of the plastic the kayak is made out of. You can then melt those in place to fix the hole/ crack. But its by no means a sure proof fix.

We typically just buy a new yacht if anything breaks on ours.

Chew a big wad of gum then stick it in the hole.

Look up plastic welding. That's your best bet.
