What was the total exposed height? Most residential bulkheads are 45” in total height or less.

$200-300 per LF is a very high cost per linear foot.

AT&T Fiber Install: Advice Please!

Posted by Seersucker on 8/19/25 at 8:42 pm
Figured I’d get more traction here, as opposed to the Tech Board:

AT&T Fiber finally became available in my area, and I’m scheduled for an install tomorrow afternoon.

I know that there are certain tips and tricks to make sure everything runs fast and smooth, but I’m not very tech savvy and would appreciate any advice.

I’ll be changing from Cox GigaBlast internet…I currently have a Motorola modem and a Google router and mesh system. Thanks in advance.

We can argue semantics, but the man said that the storm would have a much greater impact in the New Orleans area than what was being forecasted by almost every other outlet.

He’s the chief meteorologist for Fox 8 in Nola. He said from the beginning that the models navigating the storm west toward Baton Rouge were wrong. Everyone has been giving him shite for the last 24 hours.

Apologies to Uncle Bruce can be posted here.
I would second River’s End. They won’t be winning a Michelin Star anytime soon, but I have great memories of eating there after hiking on the AT with my dad. Great views of the river, and nothing beats a burger and fries after coming off a 10 day hike eating dehydrated food.

Call Ryan Martino with Structure Construction. If you’re looking for a full outdoor renovation, there’s no one better. He does everything in-house, so you’re not dealing with a bunch of subs at a high markup.

re: Good Chinese food in BR?

Cheng's is great quality, but expensive.

For good, old-fashioned, picture menu Chinese...I like King's Wok.

I went there once, after having several friends rave about how good it was.

It was so bad, I was embarrassed for them.

Vincent's, and it's not even close.

Best "Family Catering" Deals in BR?

Posted by Seersucker on 6/24/22 at 3:07 pm
Looking for more restaurant options that do take-out family meals to feed 3-4 people.

Zeas and BRQ both have ones that are pretty good, just looking for more options when I don't want to cook on a Friday, but also don't want to bring the kids to a sit-down meal.

TIA

Looking for a place to watch Arsenal-Spurs on Thursday.

A Finn’s type atmosphere would be great.
