I loaded a 175lber last year by my self. It took all I had and it was my last attempt before calling for help. Mine is a 2010 xp.
I grabbed the horns in one hand, climbed in the back and pulled his arse up. Like I said on my final attempt.
I have one of these now.

ole fart method...
tie 2 ropes around the deer and throw both over tree limb..
Use atv to pull deer up in air with one rope.
Use other rope to tie off to tree..
Undo the one hoisting, and back under deer.
Untie the one holding it up..
drive off

Jug,
It's my father-in-law's 06 and it had lots of problems with the motor mounts/throwing belts (stranded us 3 times during the 07 season)until one of the mechanics up here used a set of motor mounts designed for a car. I think this was a common problem with the late 06/early 07 models. Since swapping them out, no problems and most of us think the 06 is better in the mud than the 09.

Build yourself a ramp that's like 2 ft high.
Drag deer behind with a rope at 25 plus mph
Drag deer over ramp and slam on brakes.
Deer flies into your back.

The bed of my truck is much higher than a ranger and I get them in there. I lift the head as high as I can and tie it off. Then I get in the truck, pull it a little higher and tie it off. By this point I can usually use the back legs to get him all the way in there.

winch on front... just pull the line straight over the bars to the back and winch it up that way in the bed.

+1
Personally, I usually drag the deer to just behind the truck (or back the truck up to the deer), climb in the bed of the truck, reach down and grab the horns of the deer and just pull it up enough to slide it into the back of the truck.

Step 1) Gut the deer
Step 2) Cut hole in hocks like you're putting the deer on a single tree and tie rope through hole
Step 3) Get in bed and pull back half into the bed as far as you can and tie it off to headache rack
Step 4) Man handle the front half up there
Step 5) Close tailgate
Step 6) Haul arse

I look for a depression in the ground, back into it so I am lower to the ground and pull the deer up on my rack. I've loaded a couple over 180 by myself.

Never had a problem. A buck I get in the bed of the truck, grab the horns, and pull his arse up in there. A doe I grab front and back legs and throw them in there. But I've always been pretty good a pickin stuff up.

I am worried about the mobility of the crew cab but I like them too.
