Lifetime hunting/fishing license (birth through age 4)

For $200 obviously the best deal you can get for your kid. To apply by mail you have to send in a certified birth certificate which they will not send back. Does anyone know if you can go to the office in BR and apply without having to give up the birth cert?

Damn thats a good deal!

I did this for my son right before his birthday this year (2yr old)
It sound slike y'all get a better deal than we do here in AL though.
For <2yrs old, the lifetime Hunting / Freshwater fishing combo was $400. Went up to $450 for 2-11yrs old.
ETA: I had to mail everything to Montgomery, They would not issue a lifetime liscense locally. Maybe your state is better organized than AL though.
I had to fill out the form, and send a proof of residency (a letter from his daycare) ((wtf?...he's 2!))
Just got the actual liscense in the mail last week.

Tell me about it... I wish my parents would have hooked me up when I was a kid. It's an even better deal considering that my F-i-l is going to buy one for my son and my nephew. My little bastard better appreciate this when he's older.

In LA it's $200 and covers all hunting/fishing
It says you have to submit a birth certificate and a copy of both parent's drivers licenses.

Lifetime hunting and lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses include basic hunting, big game hunting, muzzleloader, bow hunting, state duck license, turkey license, and WMA Hunting Permit.
Lifetime fishing includes freshwater and saltwater.

The website is wrong, I went and got another BC and went by Quail drive. The made a copy and handed it back, they do not need to keep the original if you go by the office, needed if you mail it in...

All I needed to know... that will save me $47 not having to order a certified copy.

You will also need your Drivers Lic or copy of it and the mother's too!
I just bought my grandsons. I had my daughter along with the BC. She had to fax in a copy of her husbans drivers lic that day.

FYI, you can pick one up much cheaper downtown at vital records. The only reason I know is because I picked it up on the way to WLF...

In Louisiana the age is 16. I meant to get the license for my oldest last year before he turned 5 but just didnt get off my deadass and do it. Now it's gonna cost me 300

My dad did that except it would have cost him 500 (I think the age for that is like 12?) so he didn't spend it. My brothers both have them. Most of my friends I fish/hunt with do too. Total PITA being the only one of us who has to worry about it, seems like I always make at least 1 or 2 fishing trips a year before I remember I need a new lisence

My dad bought me mine when I graduated college as my graduation present. He said I'd appreciate it more than just giving me 500 bucks to blow on budlight and hookers. I'm not sure he understands how much I love hookers.

I grew up in Mississippi and could have bought one for $300 before we moved to La. Now I go hunting with a buddy every two years or so. Spend more on one trip than it would have cost me then. They are good even if you move out of state I think.
