La neuville road. Not far off ambassador extension.

Right by my old house, homey... not sure if you’d been to that one though.

I’ve fished Fabacher once. That was about 2 years ago probably. I only had about 30 minutes and didn’t catch anything. I oughta go back and give it another try one day.

I really wish my dad’s friend still worked at The Wetlands golf course. We used to go over there on Tuesday’s (golf course was closed that day for some reason) and ride around in golf carts with our fishing poles to all of the ponds. We would get tired of catching fish.

I’m calling an audible. I’m throwing a pompadour.

ETA: Seriously though, we should do this.

Fished the ponds at the Broussard Sports complex this morning. No bites. There was another baw out there and he didn’t have any luck either.

Fished a couple places last week in the area, so I figured I’d give a little report.

Thursday 10/11/18 I took the boat out to Henderson. As y’all may know, the water is back up because of the river rising and water control structure being broken. That cool front had just come through and the wind was blowing pretty good. But the water looked pretty good and I was able to eventually use the wind to my advantage. Caught a couple nice sized fish, but a lot of dinks. Can’t complain. It was a fun and beautiful day on the water.

Friday 10/12/18, took the kayak to Two O’clock Bayou. This was my first trip over there this year. Man, I love paddling through that place. It’s incredibly beautiful. Bites were a little few and far between, but I scraped together a respectable day. Once again, lots of small fish. I have no doubt bigger fish live in there. So, I’m going to keep looking for them.

Between the two trips, I put together enough for a fish fry.

Close Lake (which is as far as I go) is about 3 miles from the launch. Probably average about 3-4 mph paddling. So it would probably take close to an hour of non stop paddling to get that far.

I put in at about 6:30 am and was back by around 2. I usually paddle until I get to Cowan, then I start fishing. Working my way to Close Lake. Then I work my way back. It’s not so bad when you break it up.

Has anyone been there recently? My father in law said someone told him it was all grassed up. But that was a little while ago.

I caught my personal best bass in Two'O Clock. In the last pit to the right. From what I've heard they gated them off and posted them. I need to go back there one day. Ya'll think my boat would have any issues launching there? It's an 18/60 aluminum bay boat. I'd love to take the wife and kids.
