Nice! How big was she?

From what I've heard they gated them off and posted them

They have. Not really gates, but they have cables going across with posted signs. They also have a bunch of fresh signs posted when you enter into the "lakes". They basically say that Two O'clock Bayou is not a public waterway and that if you want to keep the gates down, no hunting and line fishing only.

WTF? Since when is that bayou private? It's not a man made waterway or anything. The pits I can understand cause that's man made. But this crap is getting out of control in this state.

Ya'll think my boat would have any issues launching there? It's an 18/60 aluminum bay boat. I'd love to take the wife and kids.

You can launch no problem. Just take it slow in the bayou.

Furthest north I went was in north Pelba, but I didn’t catch much there. Then I fished some of the branches of the Phillips that extend into the north flats.

The bream fishing is good enough that I'll go back to my outlaw ways to get back after them lol

They wont close it. They probably using the launch fees as their retirement, living it big on 3 mile lake.

I don’t imagine they’re making that much money off of launch fees.

Sheesh, I saw a dude taking the money out of the box and he had 3 cricket baskets in his boat. That is baller status.

the bream fishing is pretty awesome there in the summer. Me and my ole lady dropped anchor a few times and cleaned up out there. Typically, i wont keep more bream than about 15 or so per trip, just because i dont wanna clean more than that, but we will sit there and catch 100 of em within 50 yards of trolling.

7.5. Not huge but decent. I caught her on an old-school jig n' pig. That had to be around 1985 or so.

I saw a ton of bait fish a couple weekends ago, but i only fished a senko. Was only out there for an hour or so and caught two about 14 or 15 inches or so.

Went to Henderson again today. Saw a few shad running. Not a lot. Came home with 7 more fish. The bite was tough today. And it was pre front, overcast, and breezy. They should’ve been on fire today. Everyone we talked to was struggling.

remember it's the second front to hit in as many days...that has something to do with it...sac bite is off as well...it shut down when the first front hit mid week...
was there a pattern today?...
