You were lucky. Best friend to this day got bit by a cottonmouth in the 8th grade in Bunkie. We were hiking some fresh water spring and I saw a splash in a little pool. I walked around and told the guys behind me. They all walked straight thru it anyway. my buddy was last one thru out of 5 guys and it bit him underwater in the ankle. Ran back down the creek to the van and my dad cut him with a paper clip since no one had a knife so he could suck the venom out. this was back when that was the snake bite advice. his leg blew up like a balloon. Had to have 2-6" incisions in his leg and 2-3" incisions in his foot to relieve the pressure.

Old wives tale that snakes dont bite underwater. Old guy once told me his brother got bit underwater and they never saw the snake. His brother lived but back in the 30’s with no anti venom. I never bought the tale considering they feed on fish too. Weird how that tale survived

I’ve never even understood how that old wives tale even got started. Another good one is that if you ever get bit by a copperhead and live you will never get cancer.

Yeah I was having some fun. Surprising are the snake conservationists on this site. I’ll kill all cotton heads is see.

Yes I have. I've caught snakes, gators, and all sorts of shite. I've never killed an animal just for the hell of it, let alone blasting some animal away in the middle of nowhere for no reason.

If you're so afraid of the animals that might be in a certain place, maybe dont go there.

Not killing an animal doesn't make me a crybaby peta supporter. Killing random animals for no reason would make me a bitch though

And they're venomous you mongoloid

Are you saying you think that's two different stuffed snakes? Because it's not.

Why wouldn’t they take the picture with the snake hanging in the exact same position? If you want to show a true comparison, you can’t change what should have been the control in the experiment, how the snake hung from the rod, to a variable, if you wanted me to see an accurate difference in the perceived size of the stuffed snake b/c of the depth of the picture.

Next time we’ll lay the snake 50 yards away and take a pic, you idiot.

I don't disagree, but that wasn't what you said. You said it was a different stuffed snake, unless I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Besides that, the way he did it made the two photos seem closer to the same size than if he'd done it the other way, and his point is still glaringly obvious. So, I don't really see the problem.
