whats the best hook to use for jug lines?

Circle, I use 5/0 Fishfighter says J hooks work well also

As I posted before. I really don't see much different from circle or J hooks. Hell, I bait with crawfish 95% of the time and it is a lot faster baiting J hooks.

Now flipping fish off circle hooks is much easy then J hooks.

6/0 circle the right size if you going that way.

I use a different mix of hooks of my lines...circle, shaugnessey and the regualr multi-pack of Eagle Claw hooks...I have caught them on all of them.

The turtle I caught last week on the multi-pack Eagle Claw hooks that you can buy at Academy.

thats what i'd expect since they are "self hooking" hooks. ive been using kahle hooks but lost a few cats the other weekend. i'm kinda new to jug lining.
