LSUengr, I shot my deer yesterday not far from the NWR. Heard lots of gadwall, but they were super tough to see until they were damn near landing. Good luck

Yea the fog was bad over here too, still hazy.

Bunch of buzzards in this field eating something dead. I jumped them yesterday walking into the stand.

North Caddo Parish
50 something degrees no wind
12 gauge #4 buck.
Turned the beagles loose at 8 and had a good race but no one got a shot. About to turn loose in a 10 year cutover and see what happens.

Saw 4 or so small bucks and a handful of does this morning pretty early. Cold weather is supposed to help them move up here so hope to see something this afternoon.

Bootlegger, unfortunately there were more hunters than ducks. We had 2, gadwall and a scaup. Group in a pond behind us did the most shooting. They ended up with 5 ducks and 15 coot. Other 2 groups at landing when we were scratched. need some cold air.

Hopefully this cold front is going to push some down. Going to drop down in the teens for a couple days in St. Louis.

But then again NETS are up and working again
