Lil ol girl is on a plot my son shot a 8pt on a few years ago
I’m sitting in a box on a food plot cus I didn’t feel like sweating my arse off hauling my climber to bow hunt.
Gonna drink two white cans and sweat them out sitting here in my sitka bikini briefs.

Hunting in crocs, shorts, and Theromcell ready.
Son’s Savage .243 ready for max. 75yd shot because it’s been in my truck and he didnt want to come today.
8pt bamboozled me and dad this morning. Was there 25 min before we sat.
Weird camera sighting over night. Not sure if OB (pig) or OT (pitbull) worthy. What do you think? Waiting on video download from cam because battery died after morning hunt and just changed them before afternoon sit.

First thing I said this morning when I cracked my eyes at 330 was pit. 3 other people said dog. Son said pig right away. Dad said chupacabra too. One buddy said Arnold Schwarzenneger’s dog.

Yeah neighbor had a couple daylight pics of a few young bucks but for the most part us and the neighbors on both sides of me have been almost non existent with pics. Between briars and acorns and lack of burning calories they are just not feeding hardly at all. 250 pounds of corn normally every two weeks in a gravity feeder.
Right now it’s probably more like 75pounds a week.
I hardly even hunt the feeders but even on the oak flats just no movement.
Next week it should be on.

Morning started off slow, but we found them this afternoon. My son got one and another guy killed a big doe. Several other people shot at deer and the dogs did good for how dry it was. For those of you that don’t know, it’s hard for them to pick up an old track when it’s dry.
It’s supposed to rain tonight and stop in the morning, so they ought to do better tomorrow.

My boy finally connected on a hefty doe (after missing a solid 8 on youth weekend) for his first one today. Wiping that blood on his cheeks was great.

Got my first real buck last night in SW Texas. Father in law put me on a nice one but coming back in January to see if we can't get another one.

Turns out she hadn’t busted us, she was being dogged by three pretty good bucks. Watched them heard her out in a pasture for probably 20 minutes.
Too far for my shooter and spot and stalk isn’t ideal with a 7 year old so we sat and waited. They eventually moved off. Going back this evening I hope.
