In a good rut funnel hoping one makes a mistake. Heard some running in the water before daylight, so there’s something in the area. Let’s see how it goes. Good luck.

Caddo 41. Light n nw wind. Saddle over a pinch point. Just had a yote haul through far trail. Saw a small 4 pt yesterday and have been seeing lots of small bucks come through here but no shooters this week.

Right on cue little four point crossed. Nothing big all week.

Just let the rage fly at a doe. Looked good but it was quiet. No thud

No thud I guess because cleanly missed ribs. Straight through heart. Usually when I hit lungs and crack through a rib it sounds louder. I thought there was a chance I missed after I shot. I dont see how she ran 60 yards. Blood everywhere

While at work yesterday morning I had seen 6 bucks chasing (East Texas). I walked down a lease road and heard chasing and grunting about 11:00 in the morning. I had opportunity to get in stand at the lease that afternoon. First doe came out with young 8 pnt followed by 4 more does. Then a nine point. Shot him with 300 prc at 200 yards. Loaded up and back up just at dark. They are on the move in NE Texas and NW Louisiana. Lots of dead ones on the roads.
