Buddies property in east Texas. Letting the little man shoot - small buck came out not legal. Doe followed her and he made a rushed shot but we just recovered. Meat in the freezer this season him at least. Now he wants some horns.

Lock on 40 yards in the woods next to a cut cornfield.
After seeing 21 deer Friday and having the craziest most exciting hunt of my life yesterday I’ve only seen a goofy racked 8 point then a 4.5+ year old big 8 point with a 1.5 year small buck. I’ve been more scent control conscious than ever this trip and still got winded by the big 8.

I missed hunting on 11/9 due to a birthday party.
I ended up getting in my favorite ladder late on Sunday.
Hung my cross bow up for my Traditions Muzzleloader.
It was very quite till almost dark and finally had 3 does running all over the place.
Never saw the buck but I am sure he was somewhere.
I'll try again Saturday!
