Ruger American I picked up during the famous "2016 Walmart gun sale" for $199

It's a tack driver for a cheap gun. Loves the 150gr hornadys

Pro tip: Dropping your flashlight on the floor of a box stand sounds just like two bucks fighting.

Haha last weekend I had a buddy bow hunting with me, he was setup about 80yds from me. I could see him climbing up, turned around to settle in, hung his backpack on a limb...rotten limb gave way, backpack fell 15-20ft to the floor.

Sounded like a sack of potatoes

Killed my first deer yesterday afternoon. 100 lb spike. My leg was shaking so hard I’m not sure how he didn’t hear me and my heartbeat was beating so loud that I could hear it in my ears like I was listening with a stethoscope.

Back out this morning looking for a 6-point or greater.
Avoyelles Parish
Mossberg .270
Box stand
49 degrees
Learned from this board to bring toilet paper and I’m glad I did. Coffee from the camp this morning is brewing.
