Question for the OB folks. Is there any point that any of you would be selling ammo if you have enough to take on several Army infantry Divisions or would you never, ever sell any of your ammo except to immediate family members?

Archery and fishing unlimited in Hammond had some FMJ and a few boxes of hunting rounds on Thursday.
Sportsman warehouse in Slidell had plenty FMJ in the back, two box limit but they let me slide with four boxes.

There was plenty of ammo at the Kennah gun show today.

Didn't bother looking many prices after seeing Winchester FMJ 9mm @ $1/round.

I did pick this guy up though

I had 10K rds of XM 193 and decided to sell 3K rds of it 2 months ago. Sold it for $600 per 1000 which I thought was fair considering it was selling for $1000 online.

Oh I’ll sell it, the question is can you afford it?

I’ve found/ordered .308, .300blk online recently. Freedom munitions and discreet ballistics, I also have some coming through Cabela’s soon. The problem for me isn’t finding ammo online, it’s finding exactly what you want and paying top dollar for it.

I'm not looking to buy ammo. I have a ton of ammo already thanks to purchasing them on gunbroker and other online sites last spring during the coronavirus lockdown. I asked the question because I have a few friends that have been pinging me to sell some of my ammo to them since they didn't think it was necessary to buy them in bulk of 500 or 1,000 rounds like I was doing.

Probably not; I enjoy shooting.

I'm a bit leery of how long things will stay expensive, since it appears that the market price has been reset (meaning people have shown they will pay more than they did before). So even when the rush finally subsides, I suspect we'll still see a new normal at maybe 1.5x what it was before (would seem good compared to now, but still a big bump above what it was)... say $300 for a case of 9mm fmj, etc.

Are you finding primers anywhere?

You can get some on gunbroker but you'll pay for it.

You won't find primers in the store unless you have a horseshoe in your arse.

Between my brother and I, we have nearly 15k Federal primers.

I bought 6k a couple years ago. My brother bought 10k before everyone wiped them out. He already got his money back and more from selling 1000.

As soon as they come back I'll buy a case of each size. I don't plan to load 9mm but I'll buy pistol primers.

I have been to 2 guns shows in the last month and both seemed to have, if not plenty, a serviceable amount of all of the above. None of it was cheap by my account but I am a cheap bastard to begin with....I suspect those guys get notified anytime anyone in the area gets some in and go buy all of it before its ever stocked but I don't know that....
