BadMrK,

We are close to adding a Braque to our house to join our 8 1/2 year old Vizsla. Do you mind me asking where you got your pup? We are buying from Wingshot in AL, same place we got our Vizsla. The mom is pregnant now and we should have our puppy in early 2022.

It seems like he is trying to insinuate that he is the only one who is worthy of owning such a great breed.

I cant stand egotistical people.

Don't mind at all. She came from Wingshot. She's about a year and 4 months old. They're typically more "velcro" dogs and don't respond well to more "heavy-handed" styles of training and discipline. Mine is quite independent and more hardy relative to the breed standard. She's also on the larger end, more the weight and size of a male (females are typically a little smaller), but her mom was larger, so I kind of figured she would probably follow suit.

10 Brittanys would tap out before the GSP caught his second win.

my first dog was a mutt, but likely had very strong traits of Brittany in him given his size and color, especially the speckled brown spots on his legs. I never did the testing but my vet kept asking me to b/c he wanted to know what he was. He was a very beautiful dog, extremely athletic. I'd put him up against a GSP anyday. I had to watch my sisters GSP for 2 weeks, and all i could think about was how much fun my old mutt would have had with him if he were still alive. Never met a dog that could match his energy, but i would agree the GSP probably would top him, but not by much. He had an extremely low resting heart rate. Dog would go from red bull gives me wings to easy breathing sleeping in no time.

Having owned a few good ones and a great one, including a field trial winner…. For covering lots of ground yeah.

But as an all around in the top tier…. But I vote for the little brown dogs under 30lbs

Great dogs no doubt, but no. I’m partial to those robotic field trial labs. Truly remarkable what those knuckleheads are capable of doing.
