I can't see the point in wearing it in a box stand, really in just about any elevated stand for that matter. However when walking to and from the stand I'll wear it and when hunting on the ground I wear it.

yep....doesn't make sense to me. Not like it's some bulky heavy piece of equipment that is uncomfortable but I'm not the OP. If he wants to do it, so be it but I'll never understand it.

I don't wear it on the stand unless I'm on public land
But if gun season is open, I'm wearing it to and from the stand every time, no matter what. Too many idiot rednecks in this state to not, IMO

I don't wear it while sitting on the stand, but other than that I have orange on every time I step into the woods during hunting season.

I know of three diff guys being shot cause they weren't wearing orange. Two of them or not here to tell why you should wear it. Just my two cents but when you no people who have been directly affected by it you might change your mind. Good luck and be safe

I bought a HO hat. I will wear that. If I see anyone else on the lease at any time i will wear the vest too...i will carry it with me.

I understand that. I've made the mistake of forgetting mine before. I thought we were talking about a concious decision to not wear it at all. Thats why I carry extras with me. Death and or tickets just aren't worth it.
