Just wait until something like is made into a youtube video. The amount of comments from city slickers crying about muh coyote habitat and muh don't shoot coyotes and feral hogs is astounding. If there is one thing every one should agree on its that hogs and yotes gotta go, but sadly most won't understand this until their beloved golden retriever gets killed by coyotes.

I live in a big hoa type community with woods and a major river bordering my yard.

My neighbors continuously post pics of the "beautiful wildlife" coyotes and feral hogs in the green space behind our house. These are the same idiots that post tear jerker posts about their little dogs and cats going MIA.

I stopped attending HOA meetings once the cops were called. The c-word was used, haven't given a shat since, adults acting like spoiled brats.

Aren’t most coyotes usually solo or paired up at the most? I’ve never seen a pack of them but 2 of them can sound like a thousand. I’ve seen that happen. I could be wrong though.

Hunt solo but pair up only time they pack is the pair when raising a litter, but wives tales are more intriguing than facts

I'd doubt it is that diabolical. Could simply be a male dog tracking a female in heat...that female just so happens to be a coyote, and the pack kills the interloper/competing predator.

Man there’s a lot of stories of this trapping style happening with coyotes where they lure a dog in and then attack.

I heard one about this guy in Cali.

He comes home one day and his pittbull is all cut up and bleeding so he takes it to the vet. He gets home and finds a hole in the fence and follows a trail of the dogs blood up a hill to find 9 dead coyotes.

I’m not a fan of pit bulls but 1 vs 9 is a savage move

Tough times for us all. Maybe the coyote lost his job going against the sheep dog because they can shoot with the Covid.

The vast majority of the pics I have are 3-5 totes with one awhile back with around a dozen or so.

Also I find hard to believe one yote is killing adult deer. I've had pics of yotes with deer parts on 3 separate occasions. Only once was it during spring fawn season.

Sounds like your camera is likely close to a den. Coyotes, fox, etc are scavengers. They eat anything dead, they will certainly hunt adult deer but its more likely if you are routinely seeing them with parts of grown deer they are finding carcasses from natural deaths, hunters, car accidents, etc.

Being paid as a youngster to shoot and trap them, as well as giving many carcasses to usda, wlf, and a university 95% of stomach contents was small rodents, large rodents, frogs(yes frogs), various plant matter.
