Acutally sac a lait is more correct than white perch. There is not another fish that is an actual sac a lait.

Go fishing where there is white perch and crappie then you'll know the difference.

being "politically" right is one thing, but swimming upriver so hard to be right is questionable??

There are actual sacks of milk that are not fish, so white perch is way more correct.

I'm just messing around . I've called them all three my entire life until some a-hole had to prove me wrong when I moved to NC. Some damn thing happend to the alligator snapping turtle, I called it a loggerhead( which is what we grew up calling them). He said a loggerhead sea turtle, and I said no a loggerhead snapping turtle. Well he was right again and warned me your white perch ain't the actual white perch. Try explaining that one to the GW, well sir we call them white perch back home so I thought I could keep them all.
