I put in at whiskey bay yeah but not in the atchafalaya river if that's what you're asking.

No I meant whiskey bay. Im not familiar with the names of that area. But yea, it was about noon or 1pm sunday. You bow hunt? I may have an extra bed at the camp this weekend

Duckweed in a true cypress brake is like crack for Grey Ducks. Never really put the hammer down on a lot of Green in one. Mostly a Grey/Woodrow mixture. Now mix in button willows and cypress trees and we are moving the needle toward a Mallard beatdown.

I hunt at my Grandfather's land in Loreauville and it's mostly Wood ducks. Every time I clean them they have cypress balls, don't really know the name of that, in them.

Like others have said its mostly grey ducks and woodies feeding on duckweed. I know a spot that floods when the river comes up and there are huge mats of floating acorns and fills up with green heads.
