They weren't doing it in airboats and mud boats with sun like lighting.
It's the only outdoor thing I've ever participated in where I felt greasy as frick doing it and decided I'd never do it again. I could have shot 80 redfish in a night easily. Next night same thing.

The Indians have been doing it for centuries and now y’all are saying it’s wrong? Come on man.
Do the Indians run around in the middle of the night in surface drives with 20 LED lights? Come on man that's a moronic comparison.

New fishing license due when turkey season is over. I hate a new fishing license it due July 1 right in the middle of fishing season.

I have to ask why
We have a serious overpopulation problem in most of the state, in fact everywhere but the pine belt and that portion is at carrying capacity and can not support more deer.

I shot two and kept them, assholes shooting fish and throwing them back for entertainment......
I will never participate in it again either.

Hmmm, there’s surface drives again, seems to be a common theme. Anyway it’s been tried once before and got demolished.

Wait !
Are night fishermen actually doing this?
Shooting fish and throwing them back, taking the limit home?

Very common in my experience. I've seen canales lined with catfish and gar.

What about Reds, other game fish?

I've heard of it but never seen it personally, I would think that would draw a lot of heat from the green jeans.

No ATV’s allowed on WMA’s. Use the existing ATV trails as just walking trails or bicycle trails. Look at maps of most of the WMA’s in the state, the amount of ATV trails is ridiculous, you can’t hardly get .5 miles away from some kind of vehicular access. Exhibit A - Bouef River WMA
This would pertain to Fort Polk and Peason Ridge WMA’s: close off all internal roads for turkey season, basically making the whole area a walk in/bicycle area. Both WMA’s are very large acreage wise, but the amount of improved roads for military use and unimproved dirt roads that are open for driving makes it a very small place. These two WMAs are probably in the best turkey hunting part of the state and they would be a lot better if you managed them where all of the road traffic didn’t work to push the birds off of the area.

Outlaw rod n reel fishing for redfish, because far more fish are caught using them vs bow. All of us bowfishing folks keep crying because we don’t shoot as many fish as we use to. To many dead fish floating along the banks due to a stainless steal hook in there gut. Hahaha

It goes way deeper than just number of reds shot. It's the surface drives tearing up the marsh, it's the fact that the fish don't have a time to rest because they have some asshats running all over them shining lights all night, etc. etc.

Every WMA I've hunted in MS does this. The main roads will get you on the property but anything coming off it is gated and only to be used for game retrieval. The state plants food plots that can be up two miles from an open road. It makes a massive difference, the farther in you're willing to carry your shite the more deer you see.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out, but it seems difficult for us coonasses to get it.

Well maybe we should ban duck hunting in the marsh too because there are far more asshats running around the marsh and not giving ducks rest compared to bowfishermen chasing redfish. Not every redfish in marsh are going to be in shallow enough water for a bowfishermen to shoot anyhow.

Make flagging on public land illegal and punishable by death along with all other littering.
