The five minutes worth of Iphone video of a 7 pt pestering does all around me yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately the folks at Apple made the vidoe feature on the I-6 virtually impossible to see during the daytime.
Thanks Apple. Probably one of the neatest close encounters of any duration with a semi-mature whitetail buck and it is lost for Eternity thanks to your SHITTY ability to make the video recording feature visible worth a damn.

Anyhow I had zipped a doe 15 mins prior to him and his horny azz running the does in the bedding area upwind of me crazy. Poor guy couldnt understand why none of them were ready to give it up yet. LOL
At one point he flushed four does out right at me. Two went by my tree to the left...two to the right while he stopped roughly eight yards from me. He then went by my stand six different times in the next two minutes, all within twenty yards or less. So close I literAlly could hear him taking in sniffs to scent check the air.
And the whole time I THOUGHT I was getting it all on video, I was gonna be an OB hero.
Instead Im just the possesser of an incredible hunting memory that I can only share with you guys verbally.
Thanks again Apple.

Rant over.

I believe you. One morning in Illinois bow hunting all the leaves fell off the trees around me. I swear it was the coolest thing I've ever witnessed. Like God said let em fall now or something. Wish I'd have it on video for people to believe me but I know what happened.

I witnessed the same thing in Missouri one morning after a hard frost. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!! I really never tell anyone about it because it doesn't sound that cool, but if you saw this happen too you know what I'm talk about. Unreal

Same here. Like the frost broke the attachment then the sun broke the frost.

Legal buck is outside the ears and at least four points on one side.

Besides he was just a 2 1/2 that needs growing.

Was great to spend a week in the woods but we were a week early.

Walked up on Big Boy about an hour and a half before firsat light on Friday am. He had made a car hood sized scrape and was bedded down within ten yards of it on the oak flat I was going in to hunt. Scrape was @ 15 yds from the tree I normally climb in that spot.
You KNOW he's a grown one when you put a light on him from 20 yds away in the dark and he doesnt blow out of there. Just got up and turned away and snuck off through the leaves w/o hardly making a sound.

Android man.

But honestly, I'm thinking about buying me a nice camera just for moments like that. I watch waaaay more deer than I shoot..so it would be another way to enjoy the outdoors.

I don't understand. What could you not see? Are you sure you were doing it right? Focusing makes a HUGE difference when it comes to lighting on the screen. I've actually been impressed the the 6's camera, particularly the slow-mo.

Yesterday morning I had a 5 point chasing 2 does all around me. Ran one of them way off but the other one came back to meet her demise.

He was grunting, rubbing trees, and rubbing limbs, it was really cool to see. Never seen it before.

Being able to tell when it's recording and when it's not was the issue.

IMHO that tiny...tiny...TINY little blinking light is pretty impossible to see when you have the sun casting a slight glare on the screen, not to mention the varied background which made it virtually impossible to tell that it actually WAS'nt recording.

I'm sure it's real easy to see in da club tho when trying to video the latest "one and done hit recording artist".

Yesterday spent about 30 minutes watching 2 little 8s sparring with each other at 30 yards while a button and a 3.5 year old watched them like they were special. The second I decide to start video they decide to run off 150 yards and then resume. Video ended up sucking
