Home depot has 2 4.0 HP with charger for $80.
You can also find deals at direct tool outlet

Was just looking at those. Damn it hurts to spend $75/ battery. Only paid $80 for the fan and battery together.
I don’t have the 18v, but for the 40v it was cheaper for me to buy a leaf blower that came with the battery than just the battery. You can find a deal like that on a different tool even if it’s something you don’t necessarily need.

just get another m18 battery instead of flipping to another platform. “
Yall probably aware but they make adaptors to fit one platform to another. However they do make the tool more clunky and on some certain tools they interfere with features or just don't fit at all. But for the most part they are a good way to transition from one platform to anther.
I recently wanted a cordless wet vac but didn't want to pay for a dewalt to fit my batteries. Instead I bought a ryobi vac and an adaptor. Its great.

If you run the battery down too far, the stock chargers will read it as "dead" and won't charge it. You'll have a bitch of a time fixing that; it usually involves physically taking the battery apart and bump-charging the cells to get back up to an acceptable level, I think around 12.4v or so.
I've had to do exactly that with a Ryobi a couple times, not fun.

Never understood why they sell like that

Good to know. Can't say I've had that problem yet but I was taught as soon as a battery shows signs of dropping off, stop and charge it. I almost never run my batts down to just plain won't go anymore.

It would depend on the one you need. Amazon is ate up with them. Just punch in what you have to what you need.

This is actually a great suggestion. They work surprisingly well. I got one of these for my Dyson so it can use Dewalt batteries and have had no issues.

I bought some off brand usable in Ryobi and hold much less a charge than real ones. Will spend money on real next time need some

Look at Direct Tool Outlet website. They run battery deals for Ryobi regularly.

thats where I got my ryobi 18v vacuum. About $40 shipped as reconditioned but it looked completely new. Versus $130 for a Dewalt that supposedly underperforms the Ryobi.

I've read mixed reviews on this place. They run some deals, but I've read that items that were supposed to be brand new we're not brand new.
But I also don't know anyone with firsthand experience.

I have never had a bad experience. I get exactly what I’m expecting. It’s factory blemished or reconditioned stuff or overstocks.
Batteries are labeled as reconditioned with a brand so there’s no hiding it. Factory blemish stuff honestly I’ve never figured out.

Can you send me a link to this deal? I’m not seeing it

Home Depot usually has ryobi days around Father’s Day. A lot of times they’ll have the 2 batteries for $100 and you can get a free tool with it

Home Depot
It's been going in and out of stock, so check it regularly. And as someone else has said, they will have Ryobi Days deals coming up at HD and usually some good deals there.
Also, DTO constantly has some decent deals each week, so watch them as well. Factory Refurbished is new, just how they get around the Ryobi contract with HD, but they also have refurbished.
