I thought it was a point if you can hang a key ring on it
I have no idea where I heard that

Not everything sticking up is a point in this context. If it's not eminating from the main beam, it's not a point. Look at the buck I posted (River rut...). That's not a 10 point.

from the Boone and Crockett website:
"To be counted a point, the projection must be at least one inch long, with the length exceeding width at one inch or more of length."

Alx, serious question, not a flame.
How many points do these deer have in your opinion
1st is harder to see
Me: bagillion
My guess for you: 8
Me: 11
My guess for you: 8
am I right?

Looks like 10/8/8 , but I'm not sure. Oh, and once a set gets too far into non-typical, calling it anything other than "A huge non-typical" is pointless. Pun not intended.

The first is a main frame 8

I'm kind of upset with his 2nd rack. I dont have a picture right now but his first rack was a BEAUTIFUL typical 8

I will come here and admit I have now Idea what a "150" class means.
I've been deer hunting for 20 years and I don't know what it means either. Sometime in last 7 or 8 years, it became hip to refer to bucks in this manner. If you speak with more jargon, like "G2" and "droptine kicker" etc., you are even cooler. If you argue about a bucks score on an internet message board, you have achieved ultimate hunster status--sort of like a deer hunting hipster.

My point was that those are all relatively new references to antlers/deer hunting.

Can you explain that a bit more. Is that the length from nose to back hoofs?
has to be trolling, right?

Is this your personal definition or something formal? I get not counting all those little stickers at the base some bucks have, but just cause that buck had his g2 and g3 fused you would still call him a 9?
