Thanks Walt. I really did put in a lot of work for this project. I'm very pleased with the outcome. My wife is trying to talk me into getting a pool, but I really don't want to deal with the added expense of maintaining it. I'm very content with this

Those metal studs are cool. Did they come all pre cut and ready to assemble?

Looks outstanding. One question. Are you planning any roofing in the future? Why I am asking, I see no footing for your concrete. Even no roof, don't plant anything near or you will have wash out at the edges.

You poured over your existing patio concrete? So it might be 2 inches thick?

I have an aluminum patio cover installed. There's not much load associated with the aluminum cover so I didn't put any footings down. Each panel weighed something like 25-30 lbs at most. The patio cover installer also said that it wasn't needed. His only requirement was to ensure the concrete was a certain depth which I believe was 4" to anchor the posts. So, I made the depth 5" at that point. I verified all of this with a Civil PE that I work with and he didn't seem to have any issues with it either.

I now have a 4' rock bed around the perimeter of the foundation with underground drainage tied to the gutters to move away the rain water coming off of the roof. I'll eventually post those pictures as well.

Yes, I overlayed the existing patio. I think it was about a 2" overylay.

They do it all the time for the baseball preview or recruiting threads. Its just a space holder so you dont have to search through 5 pages just to see like 4 pictures.

I've never seen or heard of it before. It just seems silly to me.

Anyway, very nice set up you build there, HTF.

Yes, they came pre-cut, which made the install much much easier. I got them from a company out in California called BBQ Coach

Happens a lot on the travel board where there are pic heavy trip reviews.

It's a smart move in a situation like this.

Just curious, if the kitchen area is that much heavier than the posts that it needed the beam support but the posts didn't needed extra foundation support?

I spent a lot of time analyzing the pics, and for the life of me I can't find a single beer in any of them? WTF
