Yea it seems pretty unfair. Some places on a beach the worst they have to deal with is some sunburn and dehydration. Others can't find dry ground for shelter and mosquitoes eat them alive.

If they let me bring a pot and fire starter where water was available and the mosquito's were not horrible, I could eaaasily do it. Build a nice roof over your head and enjoy the weight loss while drinking water and whatever you can forage is pretty easy.
Those episodes in the jungle where the mosquitos are just horrible would be insanely hard. That's just pure IDGAF attitude or not wanting to tap out and look bad.
The one dude brought duct tape so as much as I want to think the show steers them into what to bring, I think some of the people are just plain stupid.

Been wanting to do this show.
Probably would have to quit my job though as I don't think career progression goes well with butt arse naked on TV reality shows.
The guy like 3 seasons back who's parents used to drop him off as a kid and leave him in national forest all weekend, weird mofo but lost only 6 lbs. was on an island though.
I'd have to think being on an island would be a breeze. The people in jungle with mosquitoes, I'd be covered in mud and have 15 fires going.
