I think I got two merit badges before I was asked to leave, and one was first aid.

I was for about a week. Went to the camp and I left. I didn't enjoy it and was waiting in line the whole time to do shite I already did at home already.
And as someone said, I was huge into sports

I only made it up to Webelos before my attention wandered. My brother was an Eagle Scout

First class for two years before I dropped. Just hung for camping.

I guess Weeblows means something a little different now.

I remember coming home and asking my dad if I could be in scouts, like my friends. He said "I take you fishing and hunting every weekend. You have school during the week. When are you gonna fit in boy scouts?"
Made sense back then. I think the hunting camps I was raised in made up for whatever social aspect of scouts I missed. The only difference was instead of hanging out with kids around a fire, I hung out with all my uncles around a fire telling jokes and putting me and my brother up to silly tasks.

Life Scout and Order of the Arrow. I was working on my Eagle when the troop fell apart. Never finished.

This may be the start of the end for scouting. Membership was already hurting. Already heard of three parents/leaders that are getting out today.

Boy scouts for a couple years. Dropped out with all my friends.
My son is in it now. He likes it, but it's a pretty active pack

I'm an Eagle Scout. A lot of corporate execs are Eagle Scouts and it has been great for networking having that in common.

Was not a boy scout. My Dad taught what I needed to know about the outdoors

I was in for one year during Jr. high. I thought we'd be going camping and canoeing and shite - not so much.
As far as 'leadership', I saw WAY too much groupthink/herd mentality creepy shite going down. I didn't want any part of being 'led'.
