How long will a 2016 ram with a 5.7L hemi last?

Have a buddy selling one with 185k miles. In great shape. Two owners. Very cheap...could buy it for 6k.
Could I easily get it to 250k+?

It could last 185,001 miles or a million miles depending an a bunch of factors mainly being the two drivers before you and how they drove it and maintained jt

I have two friends which are both doing cam/lifter jobs plus broken manifold stud issues right now. Also, very close to the same mileage. Very common, listen to the engine good at cold start up and while warm.

Yep, got 265,000 out of a 5.4 with only minor repairs. Doubt my 20 f150 will do that but I am hopeful.

Got 5.7 with the “hemi tick”. It’s worth less than having someone see if it’s just exhaust tick or lifter tick so I’m just driving it till it dies. I’ve also had the tick for 60k miles. 215k miles on it now

I was making a compelling point about the worth and value of what 6k is. If he buys a truck for 6k, gets 35-60k miles out of it then worse case gets $500 for scraps then it’s an easy decision to make.

Guy at work put 275 on his easy.
