Unfortunately, my wife goes to shoot with me a good bit. She will notice a new one every now and then, and ask about it. I say the same thing every time. "No babe, this is one of my dad's old guns". She still thinks my Tavor is my dad's old gun.

My husband bought a shotgun and didn't tell me ... our son did. But he had an employee that worked for their family for YEARS, like FOREVER. Guy died and the family sold his guns to a gun dealer in the area and my husband thought it'd be neat to have it. I totally agreed.

My kids rat me out on everything. Lil bastards. My wife knows guns and keeps up with the finances so hiding it, for me, isn't an option. My dad would always take the gun out back and "rough it up" a little bit then straight face tell mom that he'd had it for years. He's surprised she finally noticed it.
