I hope to be learning about getting a 250 lb deer loaded on a kayak soon

Would it be best to just walk down the bank dragging the yak and loaded deer, or could I get in there with him?

Seen a video on you tube with a guy in a kayak loaded the deer on dry ground pushed the deer end of the Kayak into the water first then stepped into the end on dry ground and easily could push his weight up and into the water using the buoyancy of the deer on the other end. Even is 8 year old boy done it too. Deer was about 175lbs.

Hunted with a guy who would tie the rear legs of the deer together to give himself something to grab and would ranger roll the thing up on his shoulder to drop it on the rack of his ATV. Little guy maybe 5'7" 150lbs. Would roll the deer up on his shoulder and plop it on the rack like it was nothing. I guess good technique beats muscles. Never tried it myself I've always used a cheap $60 harbor freight winch with a snatch block hung from a tree.

Ranger Roll with the guy from Forge in Fire

Winch on the front of the ATV with snatch block hung from tree like this.

Pop a wheelie like this.

Tie deer on back seat. Drop the front. Roll to the camp.
