I'm looking at Jebs and Kick's High Flyer

The question I have is should I get Modified or Full? I think the modified is measured at .690. Most hunting I do is in Louisiana in small swamp holes and open marsh. Just looking for a tighter pattern our at 40 yards. Any insight you can provide is appreciated.

Why not get an improved modified?

I recommend patterning your gun with the factory chokes and a few different kind of shells. I bought a patternmaster for my xtrema 2 and it was pure garbage at 25 yards. My factory modified blew the target to pieces

I shoot an A300 with a light-modified and have no issues shooting out to 40 yards. I would never shoot a full choke. Modified at the tightest.

Biggest thing I would recommend is to pattern whatever choke you get and find a load it likes.

I usually shoot Carlson brand chokes fwiw. They made the bass pro and Cabelas brand ones last I checked as well.

For my 391s I use a mod for ducks and early season geese and light full for late season geese.

Carlson have a 3 pack of chokes that is a good deal and has a close range (imp), medium range (mod) and far range (light full) that get the job done. As others have said pattern your gun w/ the shells you want to use. My 391s like winchester and kent fast steel, also hevitmetal is very good but a little pricey. I havent had good patterns from blindside. Make sure speeds are 1500 fps minimum

I second this. I do not personally see the allure of aftermarket chokes. I have purchased some for my gun and I could never get them to pattern as well as the stock (I have a Beretta extrema). I would say you should do as MSG stated and use the factory chokes but try different shells. Every gun shoots shells differently, and shells that pattern well in one gun may be shite in another. I used to only shoot Kent but found they patterned horribly in this gun.
