What is this? Flower on a bush I ran by yesterday. It smelled great and I want to get one, assuming I could grow it in a pot.

Looks like a hydrangea of some sort to me

I'm in a condo and have a nice sized balcony, so unfortunately in ground isn't really an option. I've got a lilac bush in a pot out there so that can be the test run for how a bush like that survives year to year. I'd be willing to buy new ones every year I guess.

I think there are some dwarf varieties. Check your local nursery. And with a large enough pot, one plant would be happy for a while. Good luck

It looks like Lantana to me.

It's some kind of hydrangea but not any of the typical ones. I am not aware of any hydrangea varieties that will grow in pots, but maybe there are some out there.

Definitely not an Oak Leaf… that may be a Pannicle?

I've got two hydrangeas in pots. They've done fine so far this year. I don't expect to have them next summer, but you can definitely put them in a pot for the spring/summer/fall and they will grow just fine. Mine have done well b/c it's rained so friggin much they have stayed very hydrated with rain water instead of hose water.
