Help Me Fill My Tackle Box

Dad just got a new boat and spinning rod/reel combo. We are looking for some help putting together our tackle boxes. We will be fishing in Lake Charles/Big Lake/Calcasieu River/Toledo. We need to know pretty much everything from size of hook, type of line, weights and of course types of lures and what they should be used for. Any tips will be appreciated and we will be starting our fishing journey next weekend but are going to make an Academy run with you guys' help this week.

Get some red shad worms, pumpkin seed, Texas rigged. some medium diving crankbaits, a spinner bait or two,

I'll mention some essentials for freshwater, bu I haven't fished Toledo bend much or those areas around there. And I don't have much experience in saltwater.
For bass:
3/0 EWG hooks, I like gamakatsu or owner. These are for texas rigs.
Bullet weights, I use 1/8 oz for most texas rigs but I'd get a pack of each from 1/8 up to 3/4 or so, may wanna get some 1 oz+ egg weights too for Carolina rigs. Also barrel swivels and beads for the Carolina rig
I use weedless hooks for wacky rigs, size 2
Soft plastics, for starters I'd get red shad and tequila sunrise culprit worms, and baby brush hogs, finesse worms, and mag finesse/senkos. Colors I like are watermelon red, plum, red bug, and June bug. Also shad colored flukes.
As far as hard baits go I'm not sure, but I'd imagine some ratltraps and a rogue.
Others will likely have better suggestions for crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
For bream/sacalait
corks, splitshot weights, jigheads (I use 1/32 or 1/16, depending on depth and wind), little gold hooks for night crawlers and shiners, long shank gold hooks for crickets.
Crappie nibbles
Triple tail grubs are money for bream. Favorite colors are blue/white, blac/chartreuse, and black/pink

A few regular ol spinner baits, a few 1-3' diving bandit crankbaits, a pair of buzzbaits, a pack of worm hooks, some bullet weights, some packs of 6" worms in various colors, and maybe a zara spook or rogue. Thats enough to get ya started for baits. Theres a ton of fancy shite out there that you can pick up a few pieces at a time in the future if you want. You'll figure out what you like to fish with as you make some trips.
15 pound line is a good all around size for bass fishing. I personally prefer 20lb power pro, but others here who are better than me use some other stuff.

Popping cork and live shrimp.
When you see 3 or more boats gathered together on Big Lake just go up wind of them and let your boat drift back to the other boats. When you get within 20 yards of the other boats fire up the big motor and go find another group of boats.

I use 12 lb test as all around. I put 15 on my rigs that will only be for spinnerbaits or cranks/hard baits. 65lb power pro on my frog/punching/heavy pitching rod.
Which reminds me, a swim jig or 2 isn't a bad idea to have in the tackle box as well. And frogs are money the right time of the year. I like the hollowbody frogs, like spro or livetarget, but the soft plastics will sometimes do just as well or better. For those I like Ribit frogs, don't worry about the back color just look at the belly, I like something silver/white or yellowish on the belly. I put them on 5/0 hooks, like these:

Don't know if its been said yet, but I would pick up 2 or three different roster tails.
Bought one last summer, white with red on the bottom, caught two bass and a crappie with it on the same day.

Also, get some beetle spins. I forgot about those. Great for sacalait and will catch bass sometimes on days when they don't want to bite anything bigger

Saltwater starter kit
3/8, 1/4, 1/2 oz jig heads unpainted. 1/4 oz will be most used
Soft plastic cocahoes. Any brand make sure you have the best colors and then some: purple, glow, white, chartreuse, clear sparkle, avocado,opening night to name a few.
Get the markers or dip so you can dip the tells to whatever color you like. Chartreuse or red would be most popular.
Popping corks with some glow DOA skrimps
Topwaters: Topdogs, Badonka Donks, chug bugs. Get as many colors as you can afford.
Suspending crank baits: Mirrolure Mirrodines pink/chartreuse,
Rattletraps: gold, chrome/blue
Gold wobblerite spoons
