India needs to open up the season on them with less restriction (international hunters). Every time I go, I see a ton. That and axis deer and blackbuck.

I hunting allowed at all in India? I was reading where it has been banned since 1970.
The owners of the company I work for are native to India and they were shocked that I own guns and nearly fell out of their seats when I showed them the alligators I killed.

Yes to both. In fact, I am going there this Christmas. The only thing you can hunt out there is hogs, grouse, and rabbit. I will take some wildlife pics for the OB when I am out there.

Besides my family, not many Indians own guns. It is very hard to get a gun in India. That said, my grandpa who lives in India owns 4 Merkels 3 Perrazis, an M1 Garand 2 CZs and a Steyr. All guns have to be registered and you have to give them to the police before any election.

This is not completely true. I mentioned species you can hunt. You can kill Nilgai if you have proof that they are destroying your means of income (they destroy crops like no other).
