Was just browsing some handguns to help a relative find a pistol today and.. HY shite, the prices are even. More outrageous than they were a month or two ago.

Back around Xmas, you could still hunt and hunt and actuary find decent deals. (not what they were a year ago, but still basically retail or slight below).

I regularly found P365 (not the XL and not anything special, just the regular 365) and Hellcats for around $490-$520. Now, 365s are selling for $700+ and Hellcats aren't far behind.

And those aren't the only ones. Taurus G3Cs, if you can even find them in stock, are selling for $400+. In December, they were $259-279. Any popular, high capacity CCW guns are just outrageous.

Glock 19..$600.

Even fricking Ruger target barrel 22s are selling for $350+.

And these are prices from real retailers, not the scalpers on Gunbroker or Armslist.

It's insane. Even places like Atwoods and Academy have jumped their prices by about $30 from where they were at Christmas.

Glad I'm not in the market one of these right now or I'd probably be settling for a some POS Keltec Pf9 or some other belly gun.

I have to assume that women buyers who are begging their husbands and BFs for a carry gun are largely rocketing the prices as well as the last minute panic buyers.

Depends on where you go. I just bought the new HK VP9L optic cut pistol from my local dealer for $650 the other week. Less than I could find it anywhere online.

All of my local shops are price gouging just as much as anywhere online. It's a shame really.

Digging my beretta apx. I overpaid by about $100 at $465 but we’ll worth it.

I picked up a p365 recently for $550 at the spotted dog. Academy in Shreveport had one for $530 yesterday. Also handled a P320 from bass pro yesterday that was $620.

Prices aren’t inflated that much, and there is a lot more inventory today than at any point in the last few months.

Online, yes, lots of places are just selling for whatever the market will bear. However, locally, our prices hqve barely increased. Friend of mine bought the P365 with 3 of the 12 round mags for $549 yesterday at the local Rural King. Mikes Guns in St. Charles had a P365 for $519 (2-10 round mags).

I think much of the online stuff is drivem by first time guy buyers or fairly new gun owners who don’t have the historic perspective on what firearms costs have been.

Settled for a Kimber. Had my eyes on a Dan Wessen Heritage (couldn’t.....too fancy)

The Alchemy Anomaly was something to gaze at as well but at $3200, nope.

Good job relieving yourself of any credibility on this topic.

Oh nice. With the savings you can drop in a Lazy Wolf trigger.

ETA: and some Jerkman grip inserts.

Got mine for $550 from Academy around 4 years ago. I’d say 550-650 is about normal for a G19

Who is your local dealer? I’d buy one for that price myself.

I find stock is coming back and prices are coming down. Yahoo’s on the gun forums and classifieds still think they’re going to make 30% markup on guns. Having said that my local gun shop fricked me on a price for an xdm recently.
