Ooh, fancy.

What do these things taste like? The Nilgai, not the gun.

I am. I bought it to shoot Nilgai and have killed two bulls with it so far.

Just harvested one here in S TX on Yturria ranch this weekend. Incredible hunt and I’m hooked. We stalked all day and I got a shot in mid afternoon on one and smoked him. 600# with 8.5” horns.

Used an 8.6 blk out on him and had a clean shot but those dudes do NOT bleed at all.

Nice! I hope to kill one one day. I think I hunt too far west for them.

People who don’t like Nilgai are nuts

Super thick skin that I guess closed around the wound.

I shot mine twice with a .300 win mag and there was no blood in the ground .

There was a little on the side where my first shot was.

Congrats!

I saw 3 good bulls tonight 2 at about 50 yards and one at 300 yards.

Their vitals are on the lower extremity towards the bottom/front of their chest. Shot placement there and coagulation of the blood stops up the entrance wound pretty quickly.

Most shots are typically at the elbow just below shoulder to break their running gear and then penetrate the heart to stop them from running.

Just a very strong animal my man.
