So you're saying Glock shooters are limp wristed fellows?

Just bought a Glock 22 gen 3 with night sights for $395. Has police serial numbers most likely from Indianapolis swat. Looks brand new and shoots pretty well. They guy had a whole box of them.

Glock may not be my favorite sweetheart of a pistol but the price and reliability makes it a viable option to buy, store, bury, carry, target shoot, and a few other things. Sitting here at my desk I can't remember how many I own. The clipazines will fit through different models as well. I have a G26 that came with 2 mags. I have plenty of G17 mags in my BOB that will fit into my carry pistol as well as the pistol in my BOB. There may or may not be a G17 buried that of course will accept the mags in the bag. Sitting in the easy chair and what do you know? A G36 tucked away in that spot where the remote likes to hide. After watching TV I move to the kitchen for something to drink. I'll be damned, another G19 on top of the fridge. What the hell? Somebody pulling up out front this late at night?? Its ok, I found a G23 hanging in a holster on the coat rack beside the front door. Damn, I am out of snuff! Let me go to the store real quick. Does it matter which vehicle I take? No, there is a glock modelXX something in any vehicle I choose to get into. The reality of the situation is if you wanted to do this scenario you have 2 choices. Spend money on buying multiple POS pistols or buy several Glocks. I have plenty of pistols that are not Glocks but you are not getting them. If a buddy called and said he needs some help all he needs to do is drop by and I can send him on his way with a "battlepack" that will not include SIG, 1911, H&K, M&P, Walther, Revolvers, Taurus, Hi-point, or any of that other stuff that people seem to love. Everything in this post is fiction. I don't own any guns at all. I was just trying to make the OB understand my point.

I like Glocks, but I like my 92fs better.

I cannot believe Glock sold a single gun to anyone other than M&P. Least inspiring product in any arena.

I shot a Glock, M&P and an XDm last year before I bought my XDm. I know that Glocks are by far one of the most reliable firearms ever, but I just couldn't stand holding the damn thing.

I am just going to leave this here..
I admit, I watched the video without any sound but I am pretty sure that I got the idea of the video.

HK and Sig owners are smart enough to not bury their guns in the backyard just to prove a dumb point.

For the price that y'all pay for those guns, we can buy 2-3 more reliable Glocks. Why not burry them?
Posted on 6/26/12 at 2:49 pm to Ice Cream Sammich
I agree with burying them.

So much love and hate for Glock. I don't understand. They are what they are, relatively cheap, ugly, unrefined, reliable semi-auto pistols. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's why I love them.
That's probably why others hate them.

They're the AK-47 of semi-auto pistols.
To hate them is just retarded. People shouldn't tie their ego to their guns. There's lots of great guns out there. You can love them all without yours being a jealous little bitch about it.

Pretty good summary. I don't own a Glock as they don't fit my hand as well as other self defense guns. Nevertheless, they seem to be the factory standard regarding reliability w/ factory ammo.

This.
I don't take the best care of my shite and even with a little neglect, my Glock will still go bang bang.

I'll go first. The feed ramp is cut too deep on a glock and gives up case support on the bottom back end and results in the magazine being blown out the bottom of the gun if a round goes slightly overpressure.
I've only fired about 150,000 rounds through my Glocks. So I don't feel like I'm qualified to respond.

Yall didn't get nearly as mad as I had hoped...
Anyways, here's most of my opinion on glocks.
Glocks handle neglect better than any semi or fully auto gun on earth that I know about, rivaled only by the AK47. They handle neglect EXTREMELY well. You can beat the ever living dog shite out of it and it will still work. There's alot to be said for that. I would trust a neglected glock to go bang more than a neglected revolver, and yall know how much of a revolver blower I am.
That said, it's a moot point with me. I don't neglect my guns and I clean them after every single time I use them for anything. I'll even clean em all once every few months if they haven't been out the safe. Neglect isn't an issue FOR ME because I don't neglect my guns. I know plenty of people do, and a glock is as good as they can do IMO.
The things I don't like about the glock are: lack of case support, no external safties, striker fired, and they're plastic.
The lack of case support thing just stems from me loving everything to be drastically overbuilt. I realize glock did this to facilitate feeding, and the likely hood of a feeding issue is much higher than the likelyhood of an overpressure factory round. Smart move on their part, but it's just something that I don't like.
I do not like not having external safeties. Sorry, but I think it's a good thing for me to have to manually do something to the gun for it to allow me to make it go boom. The only exception to this is DA revolvers, since the horrible long trigger pull when shooting double action is pretty hard to accidentally operate. I realize that most people's thinking is that in a self defense situation you want to have as little to do as possible, but my 870 has a safety and I can shoot skeet with it just as fast with pulling it up with the safety on or off. I don't even realize that I'm using the safety because I'm so used to it. The safety is off long before I get the gun to my shoulder. Same thing with a SA pistol. After the draw the safety is off long before I get it pointed where it needs to point. That's just me.
I don't like striker-fired guns in general just because I don't like them.
Also, something lots of people don't realize is that glocks are semi auto pistols. If you jam it into somebody's gut and pull the trigger, it won't cycle. If somebody is holding the slide and you pull the trigger, it will not cycle. Sure, it will cycle after being frozen in a pile of dog shite for 2 months, but if somebody is fighting to take the gun from you than you may only get one shot. That's what happened in those clips I keep talking about, and I'm sure that accounts for most glock jams in SD situations. Not a knock against glocks, just something that some people don't think about when they buy it.
