I got picked for bayou desiard if anybody knows where to get them there. Just applied for fun to give it a shot.
Haven’t fished there in a while but where 136 comes out to 165 was a little boat ramp. It had some good ones in it. Also the portion closest to Black Bayou would be a good place as well

So, it's not as easy as Troy Landry and company make it look. For me, the hardest part would be having to be out in the sun every day for a solid month on the water with the pressure of having to fill tags so you don't turn any back in to the state.
Those 100 degree days on the water in August in S.E. La. can be brutal.
At least Landry and a few other do their hunting in an area with a lot of trees. That Ronnie and Ashley crew do most of their hunting in the marsh with no way to get out of the sun.

It wasn't being outside that made it a PITA. Id have had to take a day off work to go pick up tags and attent a meeting then the regs were confusing AF. I said frick it and went bass fishing and hog hunting instead.

Did some fishing around Lake Palourde recently. Little Persimmon pass, that goes between palourde and Grassy Lake was over run with gators

Meanwhile, at least here in Georgia, the damned things are getting as common as houseflies and a damn site more ornery.....

You would think they would give everyone a tag with the over population.

The rule should be you have to bring a dead alligator to the local sporting goods store to recieve deer tags.
