What kind of things can I add to this vehicle to help with gas mileage?

My 2007 model gets around 20 on the highway and 16 in the city.

What kind of mileage are you looking to get out of it?

I get about the same. My truck is a 2012. Didn't know if I could get more. Thanks!

Switch your display to instant mpg and watch it, get rid of as much weight as possible, get a programmer with a mpg program, exhaust, air filter, change spark plugs, to e3 or something. Won't yield all that much though, but are some ways.

My 08 is less

I assume anyway, I just click through the computer thing and it says my average since I have had the truck is 15.7.

You sure? I have a 2011 and get 18.6 or something. That avg fuel economy takes into account idling too I think. I just divide my total mileage by total gallons used and it comes to 18.something. But my average fuel economy says something like 15.8

My truck has a little less than 10,000 miles and my average right now is 16.6. Cruise does help alot. 45 and below my truck will ride with only 4 cylinders saving fuel. 2012 Z71 4X4.

air filter
no. horsepower, not economy. Reducing air drag doesn't mean anything when the drag is across the throttle.

Use the skinny pedal less.

You can buy a whole lot of gas with what it costs to get a noticeable gain in MPG

I can tell you this much, don't get oversized tires and don't punch the gas pedal off the line at every red light you stop at. That's killed mine.
