Neither do Cajuns. I have seen boat captains in south Louisiana dump trash/old oil into the water. At least these guys literally have no clue what is going on and are from some third world country. The Cajuns will pillage their own backyard.
Go to any marina anywhere on the planet and drop a GoPro and look at all the batteries and gas tanks and outboard motors and shite that people just toss over the side of their boats while their boats are in the marina. Go watch a bunch of duck hunters with surface drive mud motors running through vegetation and fricking up very delicately balanced eco systems just because its fun to do. Humans are far too often altogether pieces of shite when it comes to the outdoors and the environment. We all ought to do better.

Quick questions-
Why would someone throw away a battery when they can get a core fee from Autozone for the new battery?
Why would someone throw away a gas tank, and how does one sink a gas tank?
Why would someone toss an outboard motor off the side of their boat?
I would suspect those types of items are things people accidentally dropped, not intentionally disposed of.

Where did the establish them being illegal aliens?
Only 1 of them speaks English.
Only one of them has any sort of identification, even when they get back to their camp pavilion.
They are 100% undocumented immigrants (except the one guy with ID and speaks English, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt). Which means there's a 99% chance the rest are here illegally.
Don't be obtuse.

Lead core batteries are what, a $20 core charge today? Toting a dead battery from the boat to the hill, taking it back to the store, toting it in the store and getting the core deposit back is a lot of damned work for folks who are dumb enough to keep a boat in the water year round....they ain't noted for the financial acuity....
Old 6 gallon tanks and bigger portable tanks that were stored for years in wet bilges of boats in marinas will rust through and sink pretty easily.
Again, removing a 150HP outboard that is never going to run again and may be worth a couple of hundred bucks for parts is a damned heavy item to lift off a transom of a boat that hasn't been hauled out to replace the engine. Not just outboards either...all manner of engines I lived at Alatoona Landing when I was in college, on a houseboat, and people were constantly dumping shite off their boats....for some reason it was common practice to bring shite from the house, like a damned riding lawn mower, and sinking it in the marina. I don't know why, dwelling on the mind of man is a fools errand, I know for a certainty people did it pretty regularly. Why I can't say....I suspect the same reason folks will toss a sack full of fast food garbage out the window or haul a litter of puppies to a dirt road and toss them out....folks are assholes.

Not being obtuse....bad enough that a group of people were using spear guns to harvest a game species....thats all that needed to be said, in fact that is all the game warden did say from what I gathered....but someone felt it necessary to claim they were illegal, without the video mentioning it, and even immigrants, which is also not known. We all know why it was suggested they were illegal immigrants without any reference to their legal status as immigrants or citizens....it is likely to get more views and get more comments if they are thought to be high criminals guilty of the same level of misdemeanor, being in the US without permission, as jay walking. Again, bad enough that they had game fish in their possession while also having spear guns in the possession. Not sure what the cast net has to do with it, its not illegal, as far as I know, to cast net bait fish while in possession of a legal game species....as long as you did not catch the game species in the cast net. I catch bait all the time and have spots and stripers and hybrids in the cooler and have never had a Georgia Game Warden question that.

They were in possession of zero fishing rods, and were in possession of zero bait.
They were in possession of a bunch of bass, spear guns, and a cast net.
That's why the cast net is a problem in this scenario.
Why are you being so obtuse?

Would you please for God's sake shut the frick up. We get that you're a batshit noodle brained left wing lunatic with an unrealistic view of reality. But the rest of us with a functioning brain realize that people fishing in a manner consistent with 3rd world shitholes, who can't speak English, have no ID, no SS# or any other proof of citizenship are more than fricking likely here illegally. You stupid frick.

Didn't that used to be called Holiday Marina? My dad had his boat there for years in the late 80's and early 90's, we were out there every weekend. I never saw anything like what you are describing.
I'm not calling you a liar, just saying my experience did not match yours.
Also, what college were you going to while living at Holiday Marina? Certainly not UGA.... that's a hell of a commute.

So when I cast net off my dock in my back yard for bait or shrimp I should throw back any legal game fish. Got it.

I'm calling bullshite.
You literally never saw anyone just throw a 100+ HP outboard or any other engine off their boat or dock at Allatoona Landing.
You made that up, or extremely exaggerating something else you once saw someone throw in the water.

You're supposed to but who would? If you caught 5 sacolait or bull bream in a few casts for bait, you already have supper.

I got one of those tickets once on Lake Ouachita when I was a teenager with a Hawaiian sling. Green Jeans was sitting on a mountain across the lake watching us with a spotting scope. Came in, said we could pay it now or got to Hot Springs. We gave them all the money we had in camp and never heard a thing about it after that.
Weird.
Weird.

Each state is different. In Missouri, you can use a cast net to catch bait, but not game species. In your state, the mileage may vary...

Either it was out of spearfishing season or they didn't have a season then. Now you can spear Ouachita from mid June to March or something.

It was diving without a flag and no license. And I'm pretty certain they pocketed the money.
