I've hunted all my life. Nothing makes me more happy than being in a duck blind, or sitting on a tripod. Thing is, my profession has me working shutdowns during the spring and the fall. I've only duck hunted teal season, and sat in a stand once. I don't know what to do. I have to make money, and I travel 90% of the time for overtime. I'm in a pretty bad place right now reading all of yalls ISTs. I'm happy for each and every one of you, but I'm also very jealous. Just putting this out in the open

i feel your pain brother. I've only been a few times and it is killing me. Hunting is my only real passion, I like to fish but not like I do hunting.

Luckily my passion is fishing because I lost my damn lease and haven't hunted at all this season.

Take a little time off to enjoy yourself. Life isn't about how much money you make, because you can't take it to your grave. You only get one shot at life. Enjoy it and be good and what you do, is my best advice.

I used to love offshore fishing more then anything. Had to give it up due to my health. Sold my boat and gave a good 8-10k of tackle to the guy that bought my boat. I haven't been offshore in two years. That is killing me.

I would not know how to handle a situation like that. I enjoy being at the camp as much or more than the actual hunting and I love sitting in a deer stand. Gotta have the job tho. I have been fortunate enough to be successful at my job (outside sales) to be able to hunt.

If the money is that good, put your time in and retire early. Then you have plenty of time to hunt and fish.

If not, then find a new job that fits your lifestyle.

This is something I did and thank God I did. Had to retire at 52, but was planning to retire at 55.

The money is good, but it's overtime money. If I sit on my arse it hurts the bank. I plan to retire early, but shite... I'm only 22! Long hard road ahead, fellas. Keep the ISTs daily. It's the only thing that helps me keep my sanity fellas
