Yeah, that's what I assume a torture test to be. That's how it is when manufacturers test every other part on a vehicle. Just hitting dyno numbers and waiting for something to break is the same thing as a hard core tuning sesh using a dyno.

And Jesus they need to spring for a new camera. My Motorola RAZR made better movies

Nah no need for a dyno

Hook 40k pounds to it, find an abandoned runway, and floor it from one end to the other until it blows up.

If a Tundra can tow the space shuttle then 40k is nothing for the 6.7.

Make it 60 or 80 then.

Anything big enough to make it serverly hate its life.

IIRC, Stacey David towed a train once with a F350 when he used to do Trucks.

Used to love Trucks when he was the host. Many Saturday mornings spent watching the Power Block several years ago. I still try to catch it from time to time.

I have seen dyno numbers of 1041hp on a NA 6.4 ans 1850 with nitrous in the same motor.

Huh?

Regarding this test, I usually take all of these torture tests with a grain of salt. They are only done by people with money looking to make more money.

Should've put no nitrous, just so used to talking about naturally aspirated motors

I've always wanted to buy a diesel and hook it up for propane so I could haul arse somewhere hook a hose up to my intake manifold and cook jambalaya.

Nope, it was when they were on TNT. The episode wasn't as far back as Shadtree Mechanic or Car & Driver, and IIRC, it was when that other guy did horsepower tv.

The only entertaining show on Spike TV now is Extreme 4x4. Top Gear USA is something I don't even set my DVR for.

I pulled over to the side of the interstate once to help this guy with an old 6.5 K3500. He had propane injection via a huge tank in his bed. Said he had to get DOTD permits and had to have stickers on the back and keep an A, B, C fire extinguisher always in the truck.

Just saw where H&S posted that the tranny actually didn't let go. Due to heat it slipped a bit. The truck was cooled down and driven home and the slip was gone. They still probably shortened the life of that truck significantly.

I've always said an independent company should take a 3/4 ton base model diesel from each company and run them until they explode and see which one wins.

The loser would probably pay so much to keep the study from getting out that it would more than pay for the blown up vehicles.

Pickuptrucks.com's next 3/4 ton shoot out should be sweet. New Ram will haul 30,000 w/ 800 or 850 lb-ft of torque and a factory jake brake. So basically, it's almost an 18 wheeler

Too bad the dashboard will crack 2 weeks after you buy it and the wiring will start fricking up in 3 weeks.

I want to like dodge trucks. I really do. I just can't.
