Anyone got a crossbow I can borrow to shoot a monster inside our high fence under a feeder? TIA

Yeah management can increase your odds of seeing bucks, but the times I've seen 4-5 rack bucks running together on a single hunt it's been in October. I saw 2 good shooters last year in January on the trail of a hot doe, but that was passing and not together. Which is nothing like a bachelor group lazily walking through the woods or hanging out in a food plot in daylight. It just doesn't happen where I hunt.
It's stereotypical but the guys with a crossbow in a box stand wearing shorts and crocs is how most people envision crossbow hunters. I'm too poor to buy my own place on 1500 acres. I'm not looking for free range of the woods on a place I don't own, but I want to be able to bow hunt it like I did 10 years ago.
All that being said it's easier and more fun to just say crossbow hunters are like Luke Bryan and those that say it's not different than hunting with a compound bow have the same mentality as a plant lyfe pipe fitter making 100k a year knocking up a hair dresser and putting her on WIC and food stamps because "my taxes pay for it"
quote:Exactly my point. I don't care what people hunt with, I'm more worried about how the people around me hunt.
I guess more than agreeing to disagree, there may be more factors than just hunters hitting the woods. Probably more to the fact on how the hunters hit the woods and how the club has been laid out and managed along with how your neighbors are.

Luke Bryan is a douche, see above picture.
The second example, is people who claim to be hardcore tax paying republicans, but will use government assistance when they are more than capable of paying for said child.
Some of y'all take things said on here too seriously though, getting offended by someone saying you're taking the lazy way out. It's an Internet forum not home school.

Only things I take seriously are chewing gum and kicking arse.. and I'm all out of arse.
I think that's how it goes.

Just think of medium rare backstrap off the grill son, I would already be conducting target practice.
Frick 2 months of archery practice.
Plust there ain't a cunthair worth of difference b/w a modern compound and a x bow.

Look at the Wicked Ridge Invader. For the money that is an incredible value. I started with a used one of those last year. Sold it to my brother this year and got a Ghost 410. But, the Invader is probably more accurate. I may be the exception, but I actually shoot a good bit because, well it's fun. That Wicked Ridge will shoot touching holes or hole in hole all day off a bench at 30 yards.

Micro's are $899 at Hoot and Holler in Bossier City. CenterPoint Sniper 370 has a ton of positive reviews and is around $300. Can find it online for less than that. Go to CrossbowNation.com. Ton of reviews for various brands.

Also with a crossbow, you don't have this unlimited range to speak of just confidence a little further than a bow. You just remove the task of drawing back.
Come on man.

@ CaptST Do you gun hunt?
nah...he only kills em with his bare hands...
scoops fish out the water the same way...rod and reel?
he don't need no stinking rod n reel either...
Truly a Man's Man I tell you
but seriously...if you are using any method of hunting other than the methods used by hunter gatherers thousands of years ago you aren't "hunting"
so go by the letter of the law and take what you need in an ethical manner within law and let these fake outrage manly men think they are better than you...their opinion shouldn't mean jack shite to you.
