I understand they also bailed on Ducks Unlike mites too for their hunting stances involving the use of guns with bullets in them.

I’ll post this again so it’s at the top of the page.
quote:

For all you guys burning your coolers and trashing them over a Facebook post for the NRA... I am actually kind of upset with The NRA for trying to spin a story. From YETI: “Truth is, we did not cut ties with the NRA or the Friends of the NRA. We changed the structure of our discount program to better align it with the business. I’m not happy that the NRA would choose to mischaracterize and sensationalize this. Know that we do support the Second Amendment, gun owners and their pursuits. Please stick to these talking points publically and feel free to point out your own experience with our brand and people. See below: As you know, YETI was built on a passion for the outdoors and, as we always have, YETI continues to actively support hunters, anglers, and the broader outdoor community. We believe in the Second Amendment and the Constitution of the United States. Recently, we made a number of business, pricing and dealer decisions to simplify and clarify our product distribution. Based upon these, we ended a wide range of legacy vendor programs, which affected a number of different organizations. The conclusion of these programs in no way impacts our ongoing support of our consumers’ passions, as YETI continues to work with many organizations that promote the conservation and management of wildlife and habitat restoration.”

I absolutely love that his ex-wife came out immediately with RTIC to make a statement that they 100% support the NRA and its efforts to defend the second amendment.

Where did you find that statement from YETI? I didn't see it on their website or social media pages. For as bad as they were getting ripped on their social media pages over this issue, you'd think they'd have posted this statement there.

Yeti didn’t pull anything from the NRA. Typical NRA propaganda to fit their agenda. The NRA is worse than liberal media.

What is your source for this?

ETA: Unless you have some inside direct link to Yeti leadership I think this is fake news man. Here are two articles published this morning that both say Yeti has not made a statement in response to the controversy.

Thanks for sharing. The NRA is full of shite, yet again. Their followers really are a sheepish bunch

It is truly an awful organization. Sadly, most of their members don’t see it.

I guess I'll ask you the same question, where is the sourcing for any statement by Yeti regarding this controversy? I honestly would like to know because I have looked and do not see one.

I'll get roasted for saying this, but didn't y'all think it was kinda chickenshite how the NRA's spokesperson was quick to throw YETI under the bus? She was pretty mouthy IMO.

"How dare they change their minds about how they spend their money!"

Yeti Holdings withdrew their IPO and they had a loss of $38M last year.

I personally think the brothers got out at the right time (2015) because the high-end cooler market is pretty saturated.

Chic fil a is run by catholics. Yeti customers are hunters and fishermans. Your statement does not makes sense.

Apparently YETI is sending this through emails to their dealers and promoters of the brand instead of to the public. So the people posting this have financial interest in not seeing the YETI ship sink.

It makes perfect sense.

An emotional response, oftentimes based on a bullshite rumor.

If that email is true, if I was Yeti I would absolutely completely cut ties with the NRA or any other organization that felt the need to belittle my company.

Or I could be like Starbucks and kiss everybody's arse and give away free coffee to anyone's feelings that got hurt.
