Potential rain this weekend. 30-40%. I plan on throwing some seed out on a few small bow hunting spots.

Planted mine this weekend just did rye and buck forage oats. Hopefully we get a little rain but it’s not looking great for my area about a 20% chance this coming weekend.

Planted yesterday and stopped by the local feed store and I think everyone else in the parish was as well.
Forecast showing 3/4in fingers crossed the weatherman is not lying like normal.

Yea I went broadcast some more seed last night over my big plot. Going to hit some small bow plots after my hunt.

I was going to plant last weekend but the u-joint on my spreader broke as soon as I engaged the PTO (grease those u-joints fellas!)

I got to camp yesterday afternoon and fixed the spreader and started planting (my favorite day of the year at the camp) at 7:30 this morning - I was driving the tractor back from the last plot when the rain started. I didn't mind getting wet one bit!

Forecast calls for 1" overnight, which is just about perfect!

Same in Centreville - 1" was forecast and my rain gauge had less than 1/4" which is barely enough to settle the dust. Hopefully it's enough for germination.

Anyone have rain report in Claiborne County. More specifically Hermanville/Port Gibson?

Download the rain drop app, it is incredibly accurate and easy , it correlates very close to my personal gauge

Trying to get to the camp to spread fertilizer on Saturday. Looks like another round of rain next week.
