Screw all lines that aren't mono. They all have at least one major flaw. Fluoro is my top pick if I had to use something besides mono, but I don't.

Fixed it for you.

I cant remember the last time I broke off a fish with 30lb power pro. Fishing is so much more fun now that I dont worry about stuff breaking off.

I don't like it and think its just another unnecessary excuse to separate a fool and his money.

Only use braid for frogs and pitching grass.

Mono only used for top water some stick baits

Floro used for cranks, Texas Rig, jigs and anything else fishing on the bottom

Well mono floats so it kinda sucks if you’re trying to fish deeper in the water column

I lost what would have been a key fish in a tournament a few years ago because I burnt up my spool of fluro. Now I'm gun shy on using it at all. I'll never spool a reel completly with fluro.
I've been spooling everything with braid and tying an FG knot to attached the fluro leader to the braid. The problem I run into now is that most of my rods have micro guides and even the smaller profile FG knot gets stuck in them. I'm slowly going back to rods with larger guides.

I use flourocarbon on a lot of stuff. Any moving bait except a swim jig pretty much. Never had problems with breakoffs. I use 25 pound for flipping bushes and semi heavy grass. 20 pound for chatterbaits and big Texas rigs. 15-17 for squarebills and lighter Texas rigs, 12 for crankbaits. Tie a palomar knot everytime except when I'm flippng, then I snell it.

It's all in the knot. Lost a bunch of fish the first go round on fluoro and got so frustrated I gave away a couple hundred dollars worth. Learned how to tie the right knot and now I use it extensively and love it

I couldn't get this to work for me either. I could feel the knot hit the guide and I couldn't take that.

I buy seaguar tatsu 1000 yards at a time.

Been using it for years with zero issues. Best stuff out there but ain’t cheap, I wait to buy when Amazon has good deals.

I like seaguar.

What helps is if you put a spool in water before loading it on your reel and KVD ,that spray can of line conditioner, or a spray can of silicone.

Only use it for leader material. Most of it I’ve run across seemed overly stiff to use as a main line.

Use FC as a leader but not a mainline.

Alberto knot wrapped 8-10 times and then closed off my going back through the loop 5 times. That last step has been the key to not having slippage.

I use 12-15# on the whole spool for trout. No issues with breakage. It does get frayed near the hook sometimes, so smart to retie after too many trout.

I don't know the brand. Whatever Mark has on the big spool at Superior Tackle.

I see it very differently. But I also fish almost every day. And I very rarely have to change line compared to everything else I’ve tried.

I prefer fluorocarbon mainline on my baitcasters as well. My favorite right now is Sunline Sniper… usuallly 14 to 18 lb depending on what i plan on using the rod for. I like having one less knot to fail… also my casting rods all have micro guides and I cant stand the feel of the knots going through them.
